These charts were created by BTV Copwatch in April of 2026, using public data from the Burlington Police Department. This data is mostly available from:

Use of Force data from June, 2023 through February 2026 was attained through public records request, because the City of Burlington stopped publishing use of force data in mid 2023.

The charts show monthly/annual totals for police incidents, arrests, and use of force incidents. There are also pie charts that break down arrests and use of force by race of the subjects of the incidents. These charts compare historic numbers to more recent numbers collected during the policing surge in 2025.

All of this data is presented to the best of the preparer's experience and ability.
